Our purpose

ActiveLeading, Boat FLX, and Gear FLX are for people who love connecting through the outdoors, learning new (or improving in) activities, and enjoying nature's beauty.

Experience lake life: Insta-worthy Experiences, the best equipment, and caring people. Standard.

At BoatFLX, we know you have choices when it comes to spending time in the Finger Lakes. Some might offer a cheaper ride—but we offer something far more intentional, immersive, and refined.

BoatFLX isn’t just a boat ride. It’s a curated adventure. A moment to grow, play, and belong.

You’ll feel the difference from the moment you step aboard.

Our experiences are provide the luxury and comfort of a Centurion Ri245, one of the most advanced wakeboats in the world, fully equipped with over $200,000 of engineering precision and top-tier surf and wake technology. Add to that more than $25,000 in premium gear—foils, surfboards, wakeboards, and safety equipment—so that when you step onboard, you're met with tools that professionals use, maintained to the highest standards.

But it’s not just about equipment; it’s about excellence in hospitality and safety.

Our team doesn’t just drive boats—we craft meaningful experiences, grounded in deep care for people and a love of the lake.

Captain Cisco, your captain and guide, holds a Merchant Mariner Credential—an elite certification earned through thousands of dollars in training, hundreds of hours of study, and years of logged sea time. We combine that technical expertise with hospitality training from the Cornell Nolan School of Hotel Administration, one of the best in the world.

We understand this level of quality may not be for everyone. If another charter fits better with your current season of life, we encourage you to explore those options—and we hope you enjoy every minute on the water. But if you're looking for something truly special—an experience where luxury, connection, and personal growth come together in one unforgettable day—we’d be honored to welcome you aboard.

Our story

ActiveLeading's founder, Jess Cisco, found enjoyment in (and continues to build relationships through) adventure sports.  Baseball, basketball, football, and the like were okay, but when a friend introduced Jess to skiing, he became a life-long adventure-sport enthusiast.

In 2012, Jess and five friends rented a house in Playa Guiones, Costa Rica. Surf sessions, walks on the beach, fresh foods, and plenty of laughs filled our days.  Jerry, a family friend who worked in the financial industry, had so much fun during the trip that he told Jess he should create these experiences for a living.  ActiveLeading was born.

Our favorite sports include mountain biking, scuba diving, snowboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, hydrofoiling, and wing foiling.
